Dana Boyer, LMSW, CAAC, has been practicing in the social work field since 1999. She is a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor, and an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, day treatment programs, homes (attachment/family therapy), schools (adolescent groups), and most recently in an outpatient setting. Dana also volunteers as a sexual assault advocate through the YWCA.

Janice DeLange, Ph.D. has over 25 years of clinical experience, including 17 years of university graduate school teaching. She is a holistic therapist, and uses a variety of mind-body approaches. James Mitchell, M.A., L.M.S.W. is a co-founder and therapist at Third Coast Counseling Center. He does individual, group, couple, and family therapy with adults, adolescents, and teenagers. James has two M.A.’s from Boston College (1984): one in Counseling Psychology, and one in Theology. He was also trained in Family Therapy at Family Therapy Associates of Ann Arbor, and received training in hypnosis.
He has worked as an outpatient therapist for his entire career. He has worked for Newaygo County Mental Health, YWCA Domestic Crisis Center (as the Assailant Therapist), Bethany Christian Services, Community Counseling and Personal Growth Ministry (for over 17 years), and now at Third Coast Counseling Center. He has had contracts to provide counseling/therapy at several Grand Rapids Area schools, including Discovery Alternative High School and St. Andrew’s Catholic School. He currently co-leads a group for adolescent boys at East Grand Rapids Middle School.

Anya Nyson, MSW, LMSW received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Aquinas College, and her Master’s in Social Work from Western Michigan University. She has worked in a variety of mental health capacities, including positions as a behavior specialist, a medical social worker, an in-home and high school counselor, and an outpatient therapist.
Anya has a passion for teaching individuals holistic self-care by focusing on the mind/body connection through the use of yogic philosophies. Yoga poses, nutrition, meditation and breath work are integrated with traditional Western mental health therapies as a means to change what can be changed, and to manage what cannot be changed. Anya is in the process of becoming a registered yoga therapist.
Anya’s personal passions include spending time with her husband of 20 years and their two teenage daughters, practicing yoga, knitting, reading non-fiction, organic gardening, and cooking.

Nina Perko, MA, LLPC, NCC, SCL received her Bachelor’s of Psychology from
Nina has over 12 years experience in the counseling field. Over the years, she has worked in a residential treatment facility; with families in a Kinship (foster care) program; and with Veterans. For the last eight years, she has spent her time in the public school system assisting adolescents with their educational, social, and career goals. She will also be serving as President of the West Michigan Counseling Association during the 2010-2011 school year. When she has free time, Nina enjoys reading, experiencing new foods/cultures, and traveling.

Cecilia Skidmore, M.A., L.P.C. is the former executive director of Community Counseling and Personal Growth Ministry, and is co-founder and therapist at Third Coast. She has hosted the public radio show "Open Mind" on WGVU (88.5fm) for over ten years.

Ron Skidmore, M.A., M.A., M.Div., L.P.C., C.A.A.C. has over 30 years of counseling experience in a variety of settings: community mental health, pastoral counseling, substance abuse counseling and private practice. He is a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor and an Internationally Certified Advanced Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Ron also has experience in pastoral ministry and counseling and is adept at helping people with the psychological dimensions of spiritual questions and practice. His specialty is helping people get "unstuck" by enabling them to build motivation for changes they want or need to make, especially in regard to addictive, compulsive or self-defeating behaviors. Ron is trainer in the method of Motivational Interviewing and a member of MINT, the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.

Deb Spoors, M.A., L.L.P. is a Certified Imago Therapist, as well as a Certified Imago Presenter. She works in private practice in Grand Haven, MI, at West Shore Psychotherapy Center, and in Grand Rapids, MI, at Third Coast Counseling Center, LLC. Vic Wagner, Ph.D. is a fully licensed doctoral-level psychologist. He has been practicing in Grand Rapids for 20 years. Dr Wagner is an Assistant professor in The College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. He has been the Director of Behavioral Science Education for the Grand Rapids Family Medicine Residency Program since 1991. Dr Wagner works closely with physicians in the area, and treats people who are dealing with the psychological effects of chronic illness and chronic pain. He is on the staff at both St. Mary’s Mercy Medical Center in Grand Rapids and Mecosta County Hospital in Big Rapids.
In his outpatient practice, Dr Wagner sees children, adolescents, adults and older adults. He is a trained family therapist, and often sees couples and families. He considers himself to be a generalist, but maintains a special interest in the assessment and treatment of ADHD in children and adolescents, working with people with eating disorders, working with people dealing with the effects of abuse, and working with children and adolescents who have behavioral or learning difficulties. Barbara Williams, LPC, CAAC has been in the mental health field since completing her masters' degree in Community Counseling at Georgia State University in 1993. Over the past 17 years she has worked as an outpatient therapist in a number of community mental health agencies in both Atlanta, GA, and Grand Rapids, MI. She has worked with adults of all ages, and incorporates mindfulness and cognitive behavioral techniques in her therapeutic interventions. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, cooking, trying her hand at photography, and attempting to parent her two cats.
